Edit mode

+

Edit mode allows a Page to be edited by the User. If the User is the owner or approved editor of the page, edits will immediately be live. If not, edits will be sent to moderation to be approved by the owner or moderators.

Editing will be done visually, we will not have any special markup language. This will allow us the flexibility of using UIDs for inline objects so they can be renamed.

By editing a page on WeWrite, you’re creating a fork of the version. You can choose to “propose edits to original” or “create new version.” You can also “create new version” if your proposed edits are rejected by the owner of the original.

Activating Edit mode

Double taping the body content could enable the edit mode.

We might add an "Edit" button.

Alternatively, edibility could be always be enabled (as if the page were an Apple Note) which could increase the level of edits. (by default, this would increase the number of edits needing approval by moderators

This editor is WYSIWYG, i.e. "What You See is What You Get"

Save

On devices with keyboards, cmd+return should "save"
