There will not be any voting or reply functionality to any of the comments, since that's a more "permanent" thread-like approach; the permanent thoughts ought to be added to the page above. The chat is for, as its name implies, chatter only. Don't say anything important there if you don't want it to be forgotten. Say important things inside of the body content of a page.
